10 Creepiest Video Game Enemies That Gave Everyone Nightmares
3. Lisa Trevor (Resident Evil Remake)
An original creation for acclaimed GameCube remake of Resident Evil, Lisa Trevor was the skulking abomination that lived below the iconic first game's mansion. Heard at the beginning of the title only through mysterious screams echoing from the mansion's elevator shaft, the haunting tale around Lisa Trevor is teased throughout the entire game in small diary entries or bits of environmental storytelling. Because you spend half of the game piecing together Lisa's tragic backstory, putting each new snippet of info into context while on your travels, you really become invested in the creepy story around the character. While Lisa Trevor herself doesn't have the most imaginative monster design, it's the mystery and suspense around the character that remains so unnerving to this day. From the initial screams at the start of the game to the final reveal, there's a resounding eeriness to the whole storyline that resonates throughout the entire game, and it makes for one of the most affecting experiences in any Resident Evil.
