10 Creepy Fallout Locations You Wish You'd Never Visited

9. McClellan's Family Townhouse - Fallout 3

McClellan's Family Townhouse was once home to a stereotypical 1950's American family, with a mom, a dad, their young son, their Mr. Handy assistant robot, and the family dog, who was named Muffy.

Once the player begins to wander around the house, they can find the family's dormant Mr. Handy, which can be reactivated and programmed to enact functions it did before the war's nuclear end.

However, since the entire family is dead, the robot's actions just come off as super upsetting.

The robot will read a poem to the bones of the young boy, whose skeleton is still laying in his bed. Mr. Handy will try to get the remains of Muffy, whose bones are laying down inside his doghouse, up for a walk, and will even go to the nearby grocery store if ordered.

The fact there is an empty baby crib inside the living room and a teddy bear being clutched by one of the adult skeletons in the master bedroom implies that the family may have been expecting a second child, and overall Mr. Handy's actions just truly break one's heart.

Discovering this entire family killed in their sleep by the war just shows how quickly the destruction was for some, but sadly not for all.
