4. Serah Swoons Over Snow (XIII-2)
For the most part, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a huge improvement over its predecessor, allowing players a great amount of freedom in terms of exploration. Male lead Noel is quite a forgettable character, but he complements his female counterpart Serah decently enough. There are a number of moments in the game, however, where players must resist the urge to try and reach through their television screen and punch Serah in the face as a result of how cringeworthy some of her actions are - from yelling at a group of monsters to yelling at Hope (despite the fact that they are separated by 300 years) to stop a giant robot. Perhaps the most irksome is a conversation she has with Noel about Snow, her fiancé, at the beginning of the game, as one of the selectable options will result in her going into fangirl mode and speaking about Snow non-stop at a very quick pace. Its short, but still long enough to make you want to gouge out your own eyeballs before it's over. Way to portray your lead female character as a strong and independent woman, Square Enix...
