10 Cruel Tricks Video Games Played On FPS Players

7. Kill Hitler & Die Because Of It - Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

What could be more satisfying in a Wolfenstein game than getting the chance to kill Adolf Hitler himself? The wish fulfillment aspect speaks for itself, and so developers MachineGames knew they could spring a deliciously tricky trap for players in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

During the game, B.J. Blazkowicz heads to the planet Venus to partake in a propaganda film audition - a film being produced by an elderly Adolf Hitler no less.

During the sequence, Hitler will get tired and take a nap on the floor, but as you're instructed to walk past him, it's possible to walk over to his slumbering body and activate a button prompt.

This will trigger an animation where B.J. stomps Hitler in the face, killing him instantly. But because we can't have good things, this will also instantly cause every Nazi in the room to turn their attention on you, and you'll quickly get shot dead or burned to a crisp.

On the flip-side, kicking Hitler while he's down will net you the "Kick It" trophy/achievement.
