10 Cruelly Overlooked 2013 Games You Probably Missed

6. Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs

Amnesia A Machine For Pigs 54890 Exploring a deserted 1899 era London is already an ominous premise, but when you€™re playing an amnesiac looking for your children surrounded by environments littered with pigmen, things get exponentially more mysterious and terrifying. To say that A Machine For Pigs doesn€™t have one of the best stories in gaming all year would be lying, frankly: similar to a Bioshock game, Amnesia builds upon this perplexing story and blazes into a shocking plot twist that will leave you reanalyzing the entire game. This stand-alone sequel also has some very notable gameplay improvements that essentially eliminate all the intrusive item micromanagement, which truthfully interfered far too much with the predecessor€™s equally strong narrative. A Machine For Pigs is another more traditional survival horror game that takes the inability to truly defend yourself and weaves an exhilaratingly eerie story around it. On atmospherics alone, it's a 10/10 game.
