10 Cult Classic Video Games That Need Remakes
8. SSX Tricky
Developed by EA Sports Big, SSX Tricky was released in 2001 for Playstation 2, Nintendo Gamecube and the original Xbox. As the second game in the SSX series, it featured over-the-top snowboarding action built on the foundations laid out in the original game, and was popular for its inclusion of local multiplayer, allowing players to shred the slopes with their friends.
The beloved snowboarding title received critical acclaim at the time of its release and was also a huge commercial success, leading the franchise to produce further entries in the several years following its release.
The series did undergo a reboot in 2012 with the well received SSX, which saw the series’ signature over-the-top tricks return with a slightly more realistic tone applied. However, despite the generally positive reception the series has not seen any new entries since its latest release and news upon any new entry has not been forthcoming.
With the recent success of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remastered Collection, perhaps there is some hope for a comeback for the SSX series.
