At first glance, the small settlement of Andale looks just like any of the few unremarkable towns in Fallout 3 that you stroll through, buy a few stimpacks from and quickly forget about. However, if you become friendly with the townsfolk you'll be offered their speciality consumable item, a Strange Meat Pie which offers a series of boosts for your Vault Dweller. Everything seems peachy, that is, until a mysterious character named Old Man Harris warns you to stay away from the town, begging the Vault Dweller to leave and never come back. If you do a bit of digging into the crazy guy's claims, unlocking a shack hidden away in the settlement that requires you to max out the locksmith skill, you'll be able to see for yourself just what ingredient makes those famous meat pies so special. It turns out that, shocker, the entire town is chopping up passers-by and turning them into the best item on the menu, Sweeney Todd style. While it's a classic cannibal tale, and pretty generic as far as Fallout goes, the amount of work you have to put into uncovering the truth, and the fact that you could be using the consumables from the town indefinitely as buffs without knowing what they're made of, makes the end revelation that much more disturbing.
