Coming back to a Bethesda game with a glitch which is pretty much the same as the previous one but executed slightly differently. Although you could say this one takes a little more work. Bethesda games, as we know, are well known for their glitches and exploits, no matter what platform they're on. It just seems that if it's a Bethesda game you'll always find some form of glitch be it helpful or hindrance. The caps glitch is most definitely a helpful one for those struggling to make money in the Capital Wasteland, be that because you buy everyone water like the saint you are or just shoot all the money so everyone has to be poor. The glitch involves finding a vendor with two of the same items, one of which must be in a lesser condition than the other, such as two sets of leather armor. By buying the lesser conditioned item and selling it back twice you'll find that the item is fully repaired and sells back to the vendor for full price, this is usually higher with a barter skill of 25 or more. Once returned to the vendors inventory though the item will revert to its previous condition, allowing you to buy it for pennies and sell it for pounds. The caps glitch might not be the most dastardly way to cheat in Fallout as money seems to rain down upon you as soon as you leave the vault, but if you have terrible spending habits it's a good way to avoid consequences of overspending.
