10 Dead Video Game Characters You Can Actually Save

2. Benny - Fallout: New Vegas

cyberpunk 2077 takemura
Bethesda Softworks

Motivated by ambition to seize control of New Vegas from the virtually all-seeing Mr. House, Benny shoots you and steals the platinum casino chip - really a key to underground bunker hosting a massive robot army - you were supposed to deliver. Your main goal at the start of the game is to find Benny and get revenge. You follow his trail back to his home, the Tops Casino, and things get weird.

At this point that it's largely up to you what to do with Benny. You can kill him, sleep with him, or both. If you leave him alive, he'll eventually flee to the island where the bunker is, which also happens to be where one of the game's more violent factions - Caesar's Legion - makes its home.

Upon arriving, Benny is offered to the player as a peace offering - your revenge served on a silver platter. You can either kill or free Benny, although the latter means making an enemy of every single person on the island.

But if you somehow manage to murder everyone and keep Benny alive, congratulations! Nothing happens.

He disappears from the game and never returns, but he is still alive. Great job!
