10 Deleted Video Game Scenes You Need To See

9. BioShock Infinite - E3 Demo

BioShock is considered one of the greatest games of all time. A landmark title that truly captured the merge of an immersive narrative with ever expansive gameplay options. BioShock 2 continued this trend, but BioShock Infinite attempted something new.

The finished result was an incredible achievement, with some truly impressive innovations for the time. However, many were quick to note it was a much more linear experience than the previous games and not representative of the initial demo shown.

The scene in question highlights more open natured options to exploring Columbia and a darker tone. While BioShock Infinite isn't exactly a fluffy experience, it never quite hits the sombre tone the E3 demo portrayed.

Alongside this was the inclusion of Elizabeth transporting the pair to New York, which was also cut. The scene ends with a set-piece along a bridge involving the menacing Songbird, as he spends the scene tracking down your presence to take back Elizabeth.

While BioShock Infinite is undoubtedly an incredible game, this scene remains nowhere to be seen and promised of other ways the game may play out. Maybe some of these ideas or set-pieces will be reincarnated in the next instalment?
