10 Disappointing Games That Tricked Us With Brilliant Trailers
6. The Secret World
No one knew what to expect after trailers for The Secret World appeared online other than the game looked to be incredibly promising. When more details surfaced, gamers learned that the release was going to be an MMORPG involving secret societies like the craven, amoral illuminati, and authoritarian Templars, to namejust a few. Unfortunately, as intriguing and promising as the trailers were, the game was mostly a letdown. The world was original with plenty of possibilities and the writing was interesting and fun. However, the repetitiveness along with the unsatisfying combat kills most everything that is fun about the game. The biggest downfall of the game is that it is not free-to-play, and the games free-to-play competitors are often better games with better executed ideas that don't require a monthly fee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGjARGLsPmM
