10 Disastrous Video Game Sequels That Forgot What Fans Want
5. Dead Space 3
EA is going to EA. We all know this by now and for the most part, they haven’t really cared about this image. That was until the Originals line of games anyway. Being the most openly business-minded publisher out there we have seen them break games or give them no chance to succeed.
One of the more notable games in the long line of victims has to be Dead Space 3, with its forced multiplayer, a bounty of overpriced DLC and even an online pass as the cherry on top. That along with unrealistic sales expectations killed the hopes of a sequel.
But there is a promise of a reboot on the horizon.
Along with all the bad business choices, the game wasn’t what it once was, now being more of an action-shooter than survival horror. With enemies become bullet sponges, dismemberment not really mattering anymore and humans to fight. And it just wasn't that fun to play.
Unfortunately following this, Battlefield Hardline and the cancellation of their Star Wars game, Visceral was closed down in 2017.
