A genuine legend of the arcading days of yesteryear, Mortal Kombats place in fighting game history was secured with its shockingly explicit yet awesomely entertaining focus on extreme violence. Over 20 years down the line from its brutal debut and the series is still holding its own among the fighting game greats with its easy-to-learn, hard-to-master accessibility (and awesome brutality of course).
