3. Prostate Cancer Guy Hitman Absolution
To the disappointment of many hardcore Hitman fans came the release of the more focused and story-driven rendition of the classic game of bald-headed assassination, Absolution. But with this diversion from the tried and tested formula of their earlier games, IO Interactive allowed themselves the freedom to display their talents for both narrative and character creation - to tremendous effect. Utilising their long-standing style of dark comedy they were able to carefully craft moments of moral ambiguity to hilarious effect. One of which stands proud at number three on our list of disgusting moments. Disgusting moment: During the very first mission of the game, which is in essence a tutorial, you find yourself scaling the outsides of a luxurious mansion. You then come across an open window in which a guard is currently having a conversation with his doctor. You wait and listen. His doctor tells him that the results are in, and that he doesnt have prostate cancer. Over the moon with happiness at the good news, he thanks his doctor, hangs up, and proclaims, Whoo! Man! No one can p!ss on this day! right before you reach in and pull him out of the window to a quick death on the jagged rocks below. Why no one felt bad: The whole situation is perfectly constructed by IO Interactive. We all probably knew it was wrong to pull the poor guy out the window, and we probably felt bad deep down but the comedy timing is so spot on that its hard to feel anything but amusement as you prove that yes, someone can indeed p!ss on this day.
