1. Mortal Kombat Armageddon: PlayStation 2 (2006) JAX Or All
Yeah, I know this isn't as shocking as finding out that the events of American Psycho was just in the mind of Pat Bateman, but sometimes you can't argue with repugnance. The Mortal Kombat series has made a name for itself by having some of the most graphic content in gaming, and the only reason I haven't put the original Mortal Kombat is because for chronological sake I felt there were games around the time of the first that were more had disgusting scenes. Maybe it's because I've become complacent towards the older Mortal Kombat titles and therefore I don't find them difficult to stomach, but looking at Armageddon, Deadly Alliance etc., I just find they're all 'trying too hard'. I could be wrong, and the creators were trying just as hard to shock gamers back in 1992 as they are now, and maybe because I'm older I'm looking at the series a little differently highlighted in Charlie Brooker's: How Videogames Changed The World. Since I find myself despite writing an article on how disgusting it all is a pretty liberal chap who doesn't understand the waves of so-called videogame violence sweeping across the world, but I really find Mortal Kombat to be poorly designed, boring to play and extremely grotesque.
