8. Gamer Beats Girlfriend For Standing In Front Of TV
In 2009, Iowa resident Isac Pettinger was arrested after severely beating his girlfriend in a domestic abuse charge. Pettinger's girlfriend, Lacey Proctor, had stood in front of the television screen in order to get his attention, which caused him to lose his temper and commit the offence. Proctor stated to police that Pettinger has invited her to his house in order to spend some time together. However, when she arrived, Pettinger barely acknowledged her and wouldn't stop playing his video game. In frustration, Proctor stood in front of the screen, blocking his view and causing his in-game character to die. Pettinger leapt into a rage, pushing Proctor onto a chair and punched her in the side of her head. She attempted to flee to the bathroom, but he caught her and began bashing her head against the wall. He disconnected the phone when Proctor attempted to phone police, but she was able to escape, leading to Pettinger's arrest.
