It's not just individuals that do crazy things because of a video game addiction. A San Paulo gang kidnapped the top player of the South Korean MMORPG GunBound in order to gain access to his account. After luring the player into a fake date, one of the gang members held the player prisoner, holding a gun against his head. For five hours, the gang held him at gunpoint, in an attempt to get him to reveal his account password. Remarkably, the player resisted through the entire ordeal, refusing to give the gang what they wanted. The offenders, all aged between 19 and 27, were arrested by Brazilian police, and the insanely resilient player was able to keep his beloved account.
