10 Dumbest Video Game Costumes We Absolutely LOVE
1. Solid Snake - Tuxedo
If you were to imagine a list of suave secret agents, Solid Snake wouldn't be anywhere near the top. Admittedly, it's really only James Bond that fills that list, as Snake's more of an anti-hero, preferring to get the job done without the fanfare.
So naturally, dressing him up in a tuxedo goes against the very nature of the man himself... which we can't help but love.
It must run in the family, as his dad sports one in Metal Gear Solid 3 and Phantom Pain, but it made its first appearance in 1998's classic, Metal Gear Solid.
Not so much an unlockable as a forced costume for repeat players, the tux is donned by Snake on a third playthrough of the main game. Grey Fox also gets a lovely shade of red to his exoskeleton, but Snake's snazzy sneaking suit substitute is the real draw here.
Would you see Bond crawling through ducts on his belly? Of course you wouldn't.
The best bit though is that there's no added narrative to Snake's outfit choice.
He's just wearing a tuxedo and saving the world, and no one cares.
