10 Dumbest Video Game Costumes We Absolutely LOVE
9. Riptor - Cheerleader (Killer Instinct)
There's something weirdly disarming about seeing a velociraptor dressed as a cheerleader... until you drop your guard and she guts you with a razor-sharp claw, that is.
Killer Instinct, in its early days, didn't really have a whole heap of unlockable content. It was clearly too busy looking good in the arcades and... slightly better than most on the consoles.
So when it came to dishing out "retro" costumes for 2013's reboot, Riptor drew the short straw. Classic characters like Jago and TJ Combo got their old digs, Riptor got stiffed.
That is until somebody at developer Iron Galaxy had the genius idea of giving the cloned creature the rather dashing outfit above.
It raises so many questions: how can a raptor comprehend sports? How does she know which team to support? And how can she hold pompoms?!
It's so distracting that it's great.
It's not just Riptor that shines, as you'll find out when you explore the myriad of options available to you. Spinal as various soldiers throughout the ages, Rash (of Battletoads fame) wearing a Conker outfit, you name it.
There's just something inherently funny about a cheerleading dinosaur though.
