10 Dumbest Video Game Costumes We Absolutely LOVE
4. Spider-Man - Bombastic Bag-Man! (Marvel's Spider-Man/The Fantastic Four)
Spider-Man games, from as far back as the first PlayStation game in 2000, have offered unlockable costumes across most titles. Whether a reward or download, the massive variety available is a wonderful addition of colour and variety to the web-head's wardrobe. Whether function or fashion, some go as far as to serve both.
Forget Capcom games, this could have been a whole list dedicated to Spider-Man costumes.
But to narrow it down, over all the various Iron Spider, punk-inspired or just plain pants (literally) ones, it has to be the Bombastic Bag-man.
First appearing in an issue of The Amazing Spider-Man in 1984, the Bombastic Bag-man came about as a result of a de-Venomised Spidey having nothing to wear home. As luck would have it, the Fantastic Four had a spare costume... but they don't hide their identities, if you catch my drift.
Thus, Bag-man was born!
It's a recurring joke that never gets old, considering it was only a means of Peter Parker getting home without being recognised. That it's been featured in seven different games is a lovely tribute to the world of comics, and being able to laugh at one's self.
