10 Dumbest Video Game Costumes We Absolutely LOVE

As I said earlier, this list could have been filled solely with Capcom entries, but that'd be too easy/lazy.

Yet I couldn't ignore these, as they are so ridiculously dumb as tributes go.

That Resident Evil 2 saw a remake twenty one years after its initial release is astounding. It may have changed a few things, for better or worse, but it was an all-round hit. As a technical achievement, it shone, looking amazing in this day and age.

So that you can download costumes based on the 1998 character models is both respectful and downright hilarious.

I mean... look at them. They're so doofy.

It really drives home how clunky the original games were, with their waving hand gestures in lieu of posable digits. Those blank, expressionless mugs when faced with any terror/good news/gigantic bioweapon(s). The improbability of actually holding the weapons their armed with.

It's all here, looking even more out of place in 2019's remake.

It creates a wonderful juxtaposition: exploring new locales with a twenty-one year old block monster. Playing over-the-shoulder with a character synonymous with tank controls.

It's so mad that it works. And the best part? They're free to download from the relevant stores.
