10 Most Enjoyable Set-Pieces In The Uncharted Trilogy
5. The Tibet Experience (U2)
Some games opt to throw high-octane sequences at players one after another, giving them little time to catch their breath in between bouts of frenzied action. Uncharted 2 opted instead to give players a peaceful (and much-needed) break in proceedings by giving them opportunity to explore a peaceful Tibetan village following a train crash. Drake can pet yaks and play football with children on his way to meeting German village inhabitant Karl Schafer, who proceeds to send Drake into a series of icy caves with a native named Tenzin. Despite the two sharing no common language, an immediate bond is formed between them, and it is quite heart-warming to see them share a number of near death experiences and assist each other as they navigate the treacherous terrain. An inevitable (and highly emotional) siege of the village then ensues upon their return, prompting the two to team up in an attempt to save it. This results in Drake going one-on-one against a tank as it clumsily smashes its way through the landscape, wrapping up the Tibetan chapters in breathtaking fashion.
