Thankfully for gamers everywhere, the early access release of Darkest Dungeon is proving to be resounding success. With a comparatively low number of bugs, this roguelike, turn-based RPG manages to consistently offer twisted fun with every delve. Focusing on the "psychological stresses" of dungeoneering, Darkest Dungeon is highly influenced by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, with its depictions of Eldritch horrors and insanity. With more solid content than many 'finished' titles, communicative developers Red Hook Studios appear to have opened the game to Steam Early Access in order to genuinely take on-board and implement player suggestions.
