10 Essential DLC Packs That Complete Your Favourite Video Games

9. Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing

Left 4 Dead Passing DLC
Valve

Whereas the original Left 4 Dead had the DLC pack 'Crash Course', Left 4 Dead 2 introduced 'The Passing'.

Crash Course didn't really add much to Left 4 Dead, only introducing two new levels and some new character interactions. On the other hand, The Passing had important story elements, brand new weapons, new environments and even new Infected.

The sheer amount of content available for The Passing is what makes it so great. It actually feels like a fully fledged experience that properly expands upon Left 4 Dead 2, rather than just an afterthought. Of course, the highlight of the DLC is having the original trio interact with the current survivors. The character interactions between them are worth the price of admission alone.

Hopefully if Valve ever decide to release Left 4 Dead 3, we'll see another DLC pack that celebrates the series like The Passing does.
