FarmVille is undoubtedly one of the most popular online games of all time - with more than 60 million players, many of whom access the game via Facebook, it has been dubbed by Time magazine as one of the "worst inventions" of recent decades, with a number of players so addicted that they have lost their jobs and racked up huge debts. At some point or another many of us have no doubt been annoyed when someone interrupts a gaming session - Alexandra Tobias from Jacksonville, Florida responded to her 3-month-old son's crying in the most extreme manner possible. After repeatedly shaking him - and taking a break to smoke a cigarette and "compose" herself before continuing - her son died. Tobias pleaded guilty to second degree murder, and while some have tried to blame FarmVille for the death, the real blames lies with Tobias herself.
