10 Fantastic Open-World Video Games Coming In 2015

7. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

One RPG to rule them all... although this one doesn't have the might of Tolkien behind it, instead hotshot writer Andrzej Sapkowski's string of novels that then inspired The Witcher series have thus far provided quite the bed of potential to build a solid trilogy of games on. The first two games have been reconciled to cult successes so far, but the second entry, Assassins of Kings, managed to draw in a wider audience of now-converts who swear by it, leading to much speculation around the next instalment as the one that'll please both long-time fans and ensnare the wider gaming public simultaneously. So far everything looks to be on track, with some responsive, meaty combat, a host of spells (called Signs), characters you'll want to know everything about and a lore that's equal parts Game of Thrones' maturity and Tolkien-esque mythical beasts, the combination of the two surely being a recipe for another Game of the Year candidate.
