4. Mad Max
Usually a random film tie-in wouldn't make a list like this - especially when said film is a reboot of an ancient franchise that's not exactly something people are losing their minds over - but when you factor in that the guys behind this thing are those that brought you the Just Cause franchise, it turns everything right around. Avalanche Studios are also set to bring the third instalment of their plane-surfing destruction-fest later this year, but for Mad Max it looks like they've created a game that's equal parts Arkham-style brawling and Jak 3-style dune buggy racing - all given the studio's signature anarchic spin to really make the explosions pop. For speculation's sake it's almost a guarantee you'll be able to jack other enemy vehicles whilst trying to survive out in the dunes, and from what's been shown of the combat so far it looks like you can make the most of the open world by tackling enemy encampments with stealth instead of brute force too. Definitely one to keep your eye on, as although it's 'just a property tie-in', such things were once said about the now-legendary
Arkham series, and Rocksteady have made that soar like nothing else.
