10 Fatal Issues That Could Kill Destiny 2
1. Non-Existent Endgame
Welcome, Guardians, to the crux of Destiny 2's problems, the near-total lack of meaningful endgame. As wide as an ocean it may be, but Bungie's sequel has the depth of a puddle and it's in grave danger of evaporating if drastic measures aren't taken, and soon.
Everything you've read up to this point is a direct contributor to Destiny 2's most critical affliction, but it hasn't progressed to being a terminal one just yet. Rather than throw fixes at the wall in the hopes that something will stick, Bungie needs to take a step back and ask itself but one question: 'What did the first Destiny do to retain a healthy player base that the sequel isn't?'
The answers are many, but replayability, progression and non-static customization options are top of the list. All are pieces of the existing jigsaw that make up its universe, they just haven't been implemented well.
Inevitably, a Taken King-sized shake-up will follow next year, but something more immediate is required, lest Guardians start taking their business elsewhere.
