10 Fatal Issues That Could Kill Destiny 2

8. Nightfall Isn't Fun Anymore

Destiny 2 Raid
Bungie

Time limits are not fun. Ever.

Take note, developers: forcing a player into racing against the clock to reach an end goal isn't just the laziest, most artificial method of upping difficulty, it actively encourages participants to skip the content you've spent years creating, not by choice, but design.

Destiny's Nightfall Strikes have always been the middle ground of its endgame experience. Not quite as demanding as Raids but far more dangerous than standard Strikes, they've, historically, at least, always rewarded Guardians for skilled and repeated play.

Those rewards remain, but getting them isn't a satisfying or even enjoyable experience. Reaching the end of the Nightfall, only to realize there's not enough time to melt the boss before being kicked to orbit is frustrating beyond belief.

There's no skill or gameplay involved in mounting a Sparrow to whiz past large chunks of its most enjoyable aspect, challenging combat.

Scrap the timers and introduce some more worthwhile modifiers please, Bungie.
