10 Forgotten Gaming Franchises That Must Return At E3 2015

7. SSX

Usually when a game has had a sequel only three years ago, you'd be pretty hesitant to call it 'forgotten' - but such was the fallout from EA's BIG-less iteration, that it took what was once a spectacularly fun formula and almost completely forgot to implement it. Gone were the whacky characters and memorable tracks, and in was a lack of local multiplayer, terrible courses that threw you off every chance they got - and a terribly pointless 'rewind' mechanic that only took you back whilst letting the competition speed on ahead. The game would eventually see a patch restoring the features that were present in the original trilogy - and therein lies the appeal of the franchise in a big way. Now, it may be too on-the-nose to call this 'SSX Tricky 2' or 'SSX Trickier', but considering how much goodwill EA need to make up for from the last iteration, it'd be perfect.
And let's not forget, when SSX was at its height - following the slam-dunk that was Tricky and the more heavily customisable 3 - it was unbelievably good. Chaining combos, carving that perfect wedge through fresh powder and hearing Eddie scream "I can see my HOUSE from here!" as he soared up with the eagles is something that would be positively euphoric on new hardware.
