5. Tony Hawks Pro Skater
Newly announced and with a huge push to revert back to the original trilogy of games that went on to embody so many peoples' childhoods across the noughties, 2015's return of THPS is going to have to try mighty hard not to be fantastic. Already you'll be thinking of your favourite from the years gone by; plenty point to 2 and its incredible soundtrack as the most nostalgia-baity, with its opening hanger level, huge variety of tricks and even unlockable Spider-Man bonus character as an early highlight, but 3's more refined gameplay, even crazier extras and better graphics proved the series was always in the going to continue strong. The subtitled 'Underground' games got away from pure trickery into more Jackass-style stunts for a while, but Project 8 reigned it back in again only for the terrible plastic peripheral-fronted RIDE and flatly remastered original to derail everything again. Still, too many games these days focus entirely on 'one-and-done' experiences with zero replayability, so a return to something that positively revelled in letting you explore every level with its hidden nuances, strings of bonuses and incredibly satisfying movesets is sure to be welcomed with open arms. Let's just see this thing in action and get a playable demo out asap to salivate fans both old and new, yeah?
