10 Forgotten Playstation Classics That Would Sell Millions

6. Jak And Daxter

Yes it's the second Naughty Dog game on this list. It's not our fault they make exceptional games! Jak and Daxter, Naughty Dog's new franchise after they wrapped up Crash Bandicoot, was a bit of a curious entity. The first game was all platformy and set in a colourful, cartoony world populated by crazy creatures, a mute main character and his best mate who got turned into a loud-mouthed rodent. The second and third were completely different, with a greater focus on shooting, storytelling and a more mature tone. The series peaked with Jak 3, a game that built upon the foundations of both the previous titles and brought everything full circle. Since then, Jak and Daxter have appeared in a couple of spin-off titles, but they've not been spotted for years. It's a franchise that feels like it could still have legs; the level of polish in the games coupled with the popularity of the franchise already with fans makes it a perfect fit for a return to the Playstation. A new gen Jak and Daxter, with lovely fur effects, better city traffic, more great storytelling and plenty of daft in-jokes certainly wouldn't go amiss with many gamers. Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann revealed recently to Game Informer that Jak and Daxter 4 was meant to happen, but they simply couldn't make it work. After making 'pages and pages of concept ideas' they found their attempt to reboot the series for a new generation compromised the original ideas of what Jak was all about and they put their ideas on hold in favour of creating The Last of Us. Thankfully, there's still hope. Neil said: "Never say never, it could happen. Naughty Dog's got a long history and I think it's got a long future so to say we'll never go back is kind of crazy but right now we've got that we're definitely going to be supporting. I guess there's a possibility that the Uncharted team could move on to Jak and Daxter. It's still up in the air, but I wouldn't think that's going to happen, because I think we'd run into all of the same problems with that team that we did with this team." Make it happen ND. We all need a little more Ottsel in our lives.
