10 Franchises We Need To See Given The Lego Game Treatment

10. Back To The Future

Whilst such a game is unlikely to occur, surely I'm not the only one who would adore seeing the adventures of Marty McFly acted out in Lego form. The Back to the Future trilogy (despite its somewhat ropey sequels/time-travel plot holes) is pretty much universally adored and fits together with the Lego franchise as well as one brick does to another. The light-hearted nature of the films suits the Lego template perfectly and there are many iconic sequences that TT Games would adore being given the opportunity to recreate. Whilst at first the predominantly solo adventures of Marty McFly might not suit a two player cooperative title, past Lego titles such as Lego Indiana Jones have made subtle changes to provide a second playable character. Not only that, but in a franchise that involves time travel anything is possible. In fact a Lego spinoff could even go the way of Telltale's greatly underrated episodic Back to the Future series, creating a whole new story that would be better suited to the 'Lego formula' . Unfortunately despite the trilogy being one of the biggest film franchises of all time it seems an ultimately unlikely choice for a Lego video game, purely because it is doubtful it would appeal to Lego's target demographic of children. In fact Lego's focus on younger audiences seems to be holding back a number of potentially awesome Lego outings within mature franchises.
