10 From Software Bosses EVERYONE Hated Fighting
7. Covetous Demon - Dark Souls 2
Dark Souls 2 is often portrayed as the ugly duckling of the Soulsborne franchise, and for good reason. It feels like a tribute act for a great musician, hitting all the right notes and beats but lacking the *ahem* soul of the original.
The feeling of victorious euphoria that comes over you when you beat a boss is one of the main reasons people play these games. Unfortunately, that euphoria is hard to come by when you're pitted against one of the easiest bosses in the franchise.
The Covetous Demon poses very little threat, circling around you very slowly like a pensioner on a roundabout. If you just stay right by his tail you can get through the fight without taking a single hit easily. Honestly, if you died to this boss then you're in a smaller group than those who beat it first try.
Its design is uninspiring as well, bearing way too many similarities to a certain Jabba the Hutt. It's disappointing when FromSoftware are well-known for some of the best enemy designs in gaming history. It's name is probably the only cool thing about it, although the only thing he's coveting is pure boredom.
