10 Games That Will Inevitably Disappoint Us All In 2013

7. Crysis 3

Though it pains me to admit this, i actually enjoyed the first Crysis game. At the time that it was released I had a top of the range computer that could run any game on ultra settings, so when it started to get a low frame-rate with Crysis I was impressed. I was further impressed by the game-play and story. FPSs aren't exactly my cup of tea but I delve into the genre now and then and with Crysis I struck gold. It wasn't just an action packed bullet fuelled game, it had a story and a good one. Being hunted by not only humans but aliens as well through a jungle and mountain kept me on my toes, a nano-suit with different capabilities gave me more options than just holding down the fire button and spraying the area with bullets. When I saw there was a sequel I was quick to buy it, but sadly that's when things started going downhill and not just any hill. The aliens are different, you're being hunted by the suit makers, you're in a city, there isn't a Tesco in sight are just some of the things I couldn't get to grips with. I still played it of course but I have no will power, I mean for Christ's sake I've bought all of the Call of Duty games and pre-order every Square Enix game. When I saw they were releasing another Crysis game but heart dipped, why beat a dead horse? Then I saw EA were the publisher's and it all made sense. The trailer looks good, but unless you're an indie game company with a limited budget you don't get points for having good graphics. With EA behind you I expect nothing less than a 3D game with all the creatures jumping out at me. I can just tell that the story's going to be awful and even non-existent but then again that's not why you buy a Crysis game is it? People buy it because Call of Duty doesn't have a nano suit and aliens and that's why as a whole the game will be a success. That being said it's going to be a disappointment for anyone who's after a game where you don't just hold the trigger button down.
