2. Assassin's Creed II
The story of Assassin's Creed II would make a superb movie with one exception; the complete and total removal of Desmond Miles and the whole 'present day' storyline. Set it in the past and be bloody done. I chose Ezio over Altair as he has a more complete story arc and also a much more sympathetic history. The rise of the young assassin is the triumph of the series and while later games may have somewhat tarnished the franchise by stringing out Ezio's involvement in the series, ACII is still the best game so far. Fundamentally it is the superb action that would be the biggest draw as the free running and fighting both look super awesome. I mean the in game choreography is excellent enough, imagine what a fully staged group battle would be like. Ezio taking out guard after guard like water trickling down a river bed. Effortless. Beautiful. I'd like to see Alex Proyas handle this as I love his work and he can make very slick action sequences seem effortless. I think with a wig Ryan Gosling would be good at portraying both the cocky side of Ezio and the emotions necessary to sell the key moments in his early life, such as watching his family die.
