10 Gaming Franchises That Deserve To Be Revived

9. Rayman

Castlevania 2 Lords Of Shadow
Ubisoft

Although Rayman was originally designed for the Atari Jaguar in 1995, Ubisoft were quick to develop and release ports of the game for the PlayStation, Sage Saturn and Microsoft DOS computers.

This helped the game become one of the best selling games on the PlayStation, catapulting it into the spotlight and prompting Ubisoft to make a franchise around Rayman.

But sadly Rayman is one of many iconic Ubisoft properties that has fallen from grace. The last Rayman game on consoles was Rayman Rush back in 2002 and every game after it has been released on mobile and computer.

And to add insult to injury, the Rabbids from the Rayman Raving Rabbids spinoff games have their own successful franchise, as well as their own crossover games with Mario.

The likelihood of Ubisoft reviving the Rayman franchise is pretty low considering how focused they have been on their games as a service model and a recent announcement that they want to make more high end free to play games. But there still is a large fanbase for high quality single player games out there and a new Rayman game would be a real crowd pleaser.
