10 Gaming Franchises That Deserve To Be Revived
8. Prince Of Persia
The original Prince of Persia series of the 80’s and 90’s had a mixed reception before Ubisoft acquired the series and brought it worldwide success and fame with its own reboot.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time not only blew players away with its satisfying combat and acrobatic abilities, it also gave players the ability to pause and rewind time at will, which became the most iconic part of the game.
However it was clear that the game was suffering a bit of an identity crisis with its two sequels. Warrior Within earned a divided response to its darker tones, while The Two Thrones struggled to find a mix between the lighter elements of the first game and the darker elements of the second. This ultimately led to the game going through a second reboot, which resulted in some less popular spinoff games.
Ubisoft might not want to make a new Prince of Persia game due to the changes in their business model, but if they were to reboot the series again, fans would be hoping that they can take the game in a more consistent direction than its predecessors.
