10 Gaming Henchmen More Powerful Than Their Bosses

1. Every Main Character In The History Of Grand Theft Auto

GTA We€™re going to focus on the main games starting with GTA3 for the purpose of narrative but the rule still applies to all the characters you€™ve ever played as, in a GTA game. The Nameless One (Claude), Tommy Vercetti, Carl Johnson, and Niko Bellic - none of these guys had life handed to them. They had to hustle for everything. They had to take it - by wit or force, they had to take it. Here€™s the key to all of these guys, they WERE the henchmen. That€™s most of what you spent your time doing while playing through a GTA game, someone else€™s bidding. You€™d work yourself up that underground ladder with the hopes of being The Man one day. In the end, you were always the last man standing, the baddest man any of those chumps had to cross paths with. The GTA series is probably the best ongoing example of henchmen who end up more powerful than their bosses. There is nobody you work for in these games that doesn€™t end up on the wrong side of your boot heel. What started with Claude€™s revenge and dismantling of Liberty City€™s criminal underworld continued down to Vice City and Tommy wiping out South Beach. Carl took care of business in San Andreas, polishing off Tenpenny and Big Smoke and Finally Niko put that gun on Jimmy Pegorino and changed the course of the Liberty City underworld again. I guess, the main point in GTA is that it sucks to be the boss -- be a henchmen instead.

I'm married and live in New York with my wife and pets. I'm a writer and definitely not a comedian (just ask my wife). I've successfully linked my twitter, goodreads, facebook and google+ pages although the successful aspect of all that is up for debate. I also started my own blog on wordpress and have just finished my first novel, The Violent Winds. Now it's time to try and trick some unsuspecting fool into buying it.
