6. We Actually Cared About A Sony Handheld

Although the PSP didn't do anywhere near the business the DS did, good old semi-reliable Wikipedia states that Sony's first handheld has sold more than the 3DS, the GameBoy Advance, the Xbox One and the PS4. That's a big deal.

The PSP was funny little thing. Games came in small discs housed in a plastic case that made an insane amount of noise and took forever to load. It had Remote Play functionality with the PS3 that was, frankly, terrible and only one analog stick but we loved it.

It helped that, unlike a certain other handheld, Sony actually supported the PSP with a ton of great games every year. In 2007 we had Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, ports of triple A console games and there were future classics like God of War: Chains of Olympus and Crisis Core: FFVII on the horizon.

Fast forward a decade and the PSP seems to have vanished from people's memory, while its successor barely registered a blip in the public consciousness in the first place.

If only they got Beyoncé to advertise it.
