Final Fantasy XV's new battle system is intuitive, the graphics are gorgeous and the characters are deep, lending themselves perfectly to the beautiful and dangerous world of Eos. Noctis fears for his stolen crown. Gladio embraces his pre-destined role as bodyguard. Ignis refuses to drive at night when the eight-legged daemons come out until the party is strong enough... quite right, too!

Then there's Prompto.

Whilst his wit can sometime border on annoying, he is more humorous than not and a break from the otherwise sultry seriousness of his three friends. His camera skills improve rapidly, and his talents with a firearm will often save your hide. You'd think he lends himself perfectly to Eos alongside his comrades.

Then he announces how their adventure is just like a video game. Or that we should be careful entering that big open space because that's where a boss battle would be 'if this were a game'.

Sure enough, his predictions continue throughout the game, often coming true. Fortunately, these little fourth wall chips are playful and don't remove the player from the game for more than a moment and a quick chuckle.
