10 Genius Video Game Easter Eggs You Need To See For Yourself
5. Mr. Resetti Vs. Resetting - Animal Crossing
Ever turned off your game and lost all that effort made? Thankfully, Animal Crossing included Mr. Resetti to prevent fans of the series from repeating the same mistake.
Resetti is one of the slightly-more useful Easter eggs, in ways. His invaluable advice comes in the form of angry, bitter rants.
Should the player make the foolish decision to turn off their GameCube and lose their hard work, Mr. Resetti will appear next time they start the game, reciting a long monologue about the importance of saving data regularly.
The more the player resets unnecessarily, the angrier he’ll get with each visit, and the more talkative he becomes.
There’s a chance that Resetti will even fool the player by resetting everything himself... only for the game to flash back and reveal it was a prank.
In future instalments, the angry mole softens up a little bit. He’ll converse with the player if their 3DS turned off by force or by accident in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, reminding them to keep their batteries topped up.
Strangely enough, The crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl features him as an Assist Trophy. He’ll rant about being ignored, and will even do some awful impressions via a large, distracting text box.
There’s a time and a place for important tips about saving, and on the battlefield is not one of them.
