10 Gods We Need To See In SMITE In 2021
9. Brahma
Pantheon: Hindu
One of the three deities which make up the Hindu Trimurti, Brahma is the god of creation. He makes up the Trimurti along with Shiva, god of destruction, and Vishnu, the god of preservation. The Trimurti, meaning triple deity, is worshipped as a single god despite being made up of Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu.
Brahma is depicted with four faces: one facing north, one fact east, one facing south and one facing west. He also has four arms, which are displayed holding symbols of knowledge. Brahma is consort to Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom; he is also the father of the four Kumaras, as well as of Daksha, Marichi and Narada.
Various interpretations of Brahma in the Hindu mythology exist. One version states that the universe originally contained nothing but a giant gold egg, called the Hiranyagarbha, which contained Brahma, and when he hatched he created the universe. Other versions say that Shiva ordered Vishnu to create and so Vishnu births Brahma from his naval in order to create as Shiva asked.
None of the deities of the Trimurti are present in SMITE
currently, with the closest exception being both Vamana and Rama - two of
Vishnu’s Avatars. Brahma, while not the most important of the Trimurti in
current Hinduism, would still be an interesting inclusion to SMITE.
