10 GORIEST Mortal Kombat Fatalities You Can't Handle

The Matokan warrior, Nightwolf, may be a cool fighter but he doesn't have a reputation for impressive Fatalities. Three of his finishing moves in previous games are just variations of chopping off his opponent's head with his axe.

Thankfully, the developers went all out when they created Nightwolf's War Ritual Fatality for the most recent game. The move starts with Nightwolf swinging his tomahawk into his enemy's face. When his weapon gets jammed, he whips it back, causing the lower half of his adversary's face to hang loosely. The gaping hole in the opponent's head leaves their jaws and teeth fully exposed, Attack on Titan-style.

If you think having your face cut in half is an agonising death, Nightwolf is only getting started. He then grabs the disconnected jaw and rips it down, tearing off the entire torso of his opponent, leaving their organs dangling to the ground. (The developers were nice enough to include sound effects of cartilage grinding and ribs snapping while Nightwolf performs this action.)

For the coup de grace, the Native American warrior launches his tomahawk at his victim, cleaving their heart in two.
