10 GORIEST Mortal Kombat Fatalities You Can't Handle

8. Peeling Back - Geras (MK11)

When Kronika's lead henchman, Geras, debuted in Mortal Kombat 11, he was an instant hit. The time-controlling sand-manipulator has a creative array of moves including one where he can alter the time counter. This feature could have made Geras frustratingly overpowered but he's so well-balanced, he's actually the best new character in the game.

Since he's integral to the plot, the developers ensured he had a distinctive personality, creative design, and one of the roster's goriest Fatalities. For his Peeling Back move, Geras raises a wall of silicon behind his victim and kicks them into it. The sand solidifies around his opponent, fusing them to the wall, making escape impossible.

Geras grabs one of his opponent's hands and peels off all the skin on their arm, exposing their innards down to the bone. With one swift tug, he rips off the front half of their body, causing their heart, brain, intestines, and lungs to gush out.

It's quite a brief Fatality, which highlights Geras' character. There is no big build-up. There is no song and dance. Geras just slaughters his opponent swiftly and effectively exactly as he was designed to.
