10 Great Video Games That Are WAY Too Long

5. Divinity: Original Sin II

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Larian Studios

Though Divinity: Original Sin was a huge success, its sequel pushed the boundaries of what turn-based RPGs could offer.

Developed by Larian Studios, the crowdfunded project won players over with its complex but flexible battle system, fleshed out backstories, and rich storytelling. It also offered an unparalleled level of freedom and rewarded players for experimenting and exploring. As such, Original Sin II wasn't just a great follow-up, but one of the best titles in the genre over the last decade.

Having said that, boy is this game long. Even if you never detour from the central objectives, you're looking at least 60 hours of playtime. Although you can skip the exposition, you'll miss out in the fascinating lore, urging you to listen to many dialogue-heavy scenes.

Some of the later battles can be lengthy, especially if you're playing on the higher difficulties. Also, several missions in Act 3 and 4 rely on your party revisiting multiple areas, which quickly grows infuriating.

Not only that, it's easy to get lost in this vast world, which is sure to add another few hours to an already long-winded adventure.
