Developer: Nokia Release: 2005 Best Game: Pathway to Glory The original N-Gage was absolute rubbish. Clunky, ugly and making anyone that used it as a phone look faintly ridiculous, the N-Gage deservedly went down in history as a total failure. Following this failure, Nokia attempted to redeem themselves by redesigning the console in the form of the N-Gage QD. While the N-Gage QD still wasn't going to win any awards for prettiest handheld console, it was a lot sleeker, finally bringing the earpiece to the face and adding a more convenient cartridge slot. It didn't feature the extensive library of Nintendo's portable devices, but there were several brilliant N-Gage exclusives. Nokia was never able to shake the N-Gage's bad image though, and the QD was discontinued only a year later.
