3. The Doomed Six - Halo Reach
From the get-go, Reach was built to have this climatic even that would eventually lead to the end of all known Spartans - besides one Master Chief, and when players finally got their hands on it, this post Halo 3 title didn’t disappoint.
At the tail end of the game, Noble Six had successfully completed their mission, yes Reach had fallen due to the unrelenting might of the Covenant, but they had helped discover Halo and that was the glimmer of hope the USNC needed to strike back.
Helping the last ships escape Noble Six got to relish in one last victory before the oncoming storm approached them. The players are greeted with one last chord of the iconic Halo score as everything goes silent, all but the sound of the wind and the gunshots that begin to emerge from the sand storm.
For many, this became a personal journey this wasn’t just the end for Noble Six, but the end as they knew if for Halo - so what better way to see it out, than go out fighting. One by one the Spartans would become with Reach.
