2. Flygon
Dragon/Ground Trapinch - Vibrava - FLYGON Trapinch becomes Vibrava at Level 35, Vibrava evolves in Flygon at Level 45
EFFECT: Pokémon with the effect LEVITATE cannot be hit by Ground type attacks (except Sand Attack). Here we are, the top 2. If there is anyone reading this list who is still in the dark about which Pokémon occupies the number 1 slot then I applaud your innocence! But before we get to that, we have a very respectable runner up to deal with: Flygon. Flygon is an absolute Pokémon legend. It's one of my favourite of all time! One of the best things about Flygon is it's accessibility. It's not even difficult to acquire. You simply grab your Go-Goggles and visit the desert on Route 111 and walk around until a Trapinch pops up from out of the sand. Trapinch isn't rare and it's not difficult to catch - it's that simple. Trapinch is also super easy to integrate into your party because your Pokémon won't be super strong by this point in the game and thus Trapinch just needs a little training against wild Pokémon to beef it up a bit. Flygon's dual type does render it doubly weak to Ice type moves just like most other Dragon types but it makes up for this by making it immune to Electric attacks - one of the few types which are capable of touching other Dragon Pokémon. Flygon's best moves come in the form of Crunch and Dragonbreath, as well as one of the coolest moves in Pokémon: Faint Attack. I mean, a Dragon type using Faint Attack, that alone makes Flygon worthy of this list. Flygon can also learn a wide variety of TM's and HM's such as Dragon Claw, Solarbeam, Hyper Beam, Earthquake, Flamethrower, Fire Blast and, of course, Fly. It's strong. It's cool. It's immortal. Befitting of second place? Easily.
