GoldenEye 007 is one of the most beloved FPS games of all time for damn good reason, because no matter how poorly the N64 version has aged, it was a sure landmark for the console shooter.

Though the game memorably opens by re-enacting the movie's iconic Dam sequence, it's the second level, "Facility," which remains embedded in many players' minds almost 25 years later.

The mission tasks players with blowing up a series of gas tanks inside a chemical weapons facility, and from that opening crawl through the ventilation shaft onward, is a joyous feat of wish fulfillment.

No other level in a Bond video game has captured quite this succinctly what it should feel like to be 007, sneaking around a ridiculous locale while kitted out with the awesome gadgets (namely remote mines) to get the job done.

But it gets better, because Facility is also playable in the game's legendary multiplayer component, and just about anyone who grew up with the game will remember the countless joyous hours they spent battling their friends in Facility's toilets.
